it's kind of hard to describe. you kind of have to have a normal and a jedi in front of you. the jedis are a bit brighter, and the alien heads have a tendency to fishhook over the back. the super jedi combos are where it's at though. give me a couple years and i'll produce some.

Yeah I apologize, I wrote that late at night. I've been doing a lot of research on different combos trying to narrow down what sort of projects I want to work on. I guess as soon as I saw green pastel my mind went to het red.
I'm pretty sure Corey and Amir both agreed that green pastel is just another line of het red. (Or at least that's what I recall Corey saying)

I believe green pastel, het red and Lori are all very similar animals. By no means am I calling them the same thing, it's more like a cinnamon black pastel type of situation. The super Lori and super green pastel definitely tend to have a busier pattern then a red axanthic but they are so similar it's hard for me to separate them.

Edit: whoops, that linked to a picture, this is the right one

Edit #2: I forgot what picture was used for green pastel on WOB. That picture is also a misrepresentation according to Corey. In one of the RR episodes with him in it he mentions that the picture used is incorrect and that it looks more like the pictures of the red axanthics in the link provided

Apologizes for the double post but I wanted to add something.
Feel free to let let me know this has been proven false. I'm not exactly sure how long ago that episode of reptile radio was recorded so it could be old news. I do really like the look of the pictured "super green pastel" but I could never find anything else resembling it so if you know for sure it is a super green pastel I'd be really intrigued by the morph.

i believe they are two different genes, but similiar in the way that cinnamon and black pastel are (as you stated)

Re: first clutch ever!
Se7en, that green pastel jedi yb is a stunner. The whole clutch looks so clean and healthy! I haven't seen much of the jedi gene being used (as you said only a handful of breeders have them), but WOW :O. I am excited for your future jedi clutches!!

thanks. the big project is jedi clowns, but i'm also shooting for super jedis, and my bamboo YB locked up with my jedi YB, so maybe bamboo jedi ivories?

Re: first clutch ever!
I love that green pastel Jedi yellowbelly. I can only imagine what some selective breeding might be able to do there... I'd love to see 100% floating alien heads, that'd be sweet

green pastel tends to make the floating alien heads, and jedi tends to make the alien heads do what i refer to as "fish-hook" over the spine.

Ohman,
That is a crazy combo. That would definitely be another world's first, right?

yes. but pretty much every clutch with jedi in it has the potential for world's firsts, since not many ppl are working with it.
