I thought I saw a snoot this morning when I looked through the glass of the incubator...but it was just a shadow. Sigh.

Lets see...nope. No snoot. Sigh. Must be comfy in the egg!

Tomorrow I'm going to put small slits either way. I don't want anyone to drown.

Edit: I hope to night is the night! :)

When I got up this morning there was another head popped up (this time the egg on top). I didn't disturb this one for a pic, but I'm very excited. Again can't really tell if it is a pied or a black pastel pied just from the head, but the head is well formed and that's what counts! :)

Luckily I have to go off to work so they can chill in peace today without me constantly looking in on them.

I can't wait to see if anyone got daddy's pattern (from the last catch he had with his last owner it seemed to act like a codom so 50/50 shot each egg).

Three out of five snoots poking out when I got home. I will do pics when they are all the way out. I don't want to 'flash' them right now. :)

Sounds like you are having fun. That's why I like pied's, they are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

Hatching out pieds is sooooo much fun!

Okay, one last pic. I looked through the glass and saw four heads and really wanted a pic. I have a feeling at least one will be fully out by morning so this was my chance to get nearly all of them in one shot in the egg (one is still being shy...I cut it, but didn't look inside).

Since I can only see heads I can't really tell yet what they are, the mother has an unusual face, but from what I've seen most black pastel pieds have normal pied looking faces, and of course no seeing yet if anyone got daddy's marks.

The one on top is getting rocked back and forth by the breathing of the one under it, I think the one under it is going to abandon ship soon (it was the first pip), hopefully it doesn't spill the other one out too soon (I tried to remove the top one just before pip but it was stuck fast).

Two are out! So far it looks like one very nice standard medium white piebald (no signs of pixel), and what I believe is a very high white black pastel piebald. The high white one is a little hard to tell as a black pastel right now, needs to go through a shed but there is a splotch of patternless color on the back of the neck that is often found in the black pastels, I'll need to see what color s/he turns after shed. The other two are still just sticking their heads out. The last one hasn't made an appearance at all so I got a little nervous, I cut a slightly larger slit to make sure we weren't wrapped around our umbilical cord and that does not seem to be the case, s/he seems just fine and appears to be a high color black pastel pied (dream snake!). I hope that one makes it out okay.

So far no signs of pixel, but there are still three in the egg (I just saw a large color patch on the one I looked at so there is a chance still of pixel black pastel pied) so I still have high hopes. However so far I'm just thrilled that everyone is healthy so far!

Pictures on a new thread once everyone is out and I can get a nice clean group shot with a proper camera.

Thank you all for being so supportive! Hugs!

Three are out and the third one just might have to stay with me. No question that this one is Black Pastel Pied! Two more to go! Still hoping for a pixel. ;)

Well the last normal piebald is mostly out of the egg and shows no sign of having any pixel pattern. The really high white one might have it (the splotch on its neck is odd) but it doesn't have enough color to show it off if it really does (I've also determined that it is pied not black pastel pied). The last egg doesn't seems as well developed as the others, it has not once poked its head out. I opened up the egg a little wider to make sure it wasn't twisted and it looks find just appears a few days behind in development. It has no signs of pixel either for what I can see but it's got a nice big patch of black pastel on it so I hope it make it out okay!

I have to admit I am disappointed that no one has the same awesome pattern as the father, however I do believe this is due to poor odds. Out of a clutch of I believe seven from his last owner only two of them had the pixel pattern (one much more so than the other).

I however not disappointed in having four (hopefully five) healthy and good looking little hatchlings! And I'm over the moon about my one black pastel pied with good color ratio and hopefully a second! A medium color black pastel pied is one of my dream snakes and now I have one (maybe two)!

I hope to have another adult female pied by next season and hopefully two clutches of pieds to help get a pixel yet!

Here is a cell phone pic of the black pastel as a treat for everyone being so supportive and patient with this reveal. :) I will get better pics when everyone is out with a real camera.

Amazing hatchling! I can't wait to see the others! Is it possible the pixelation or random dark scales will appear later as they mature?

I don't think so. He and the others like him were all hatched with thier pixel markings.

Thank you about this little one! I love him/her!
