Re: Fed ex nightmare....

No news as of this afternoon. Both Josh and I have contacted Fedex and the last known place the package was scanned was in memphis. We're both hopeful this boy makes it here in the morning safe and sound. Thanks for everyones well wishes. I will update you all as soon as I hear or receive a package. Thanks again.

I think it was Deborah who said that we always imagine the worst and it usually ends up way better than what we feared.
I'm sending you positive vibes... I'm sure everything will work out for you, and your guy will be perfectly fine... I'm looking forward to the good news :-) .

Spiritserpents, did you get your package okay? This is going to be the thread of great news... I can feel it ;-) .

I had a similar issue last year. They arrived to my customer at around 8 p.m. and fedex refunded my shipping charge. I sent the shipping refund back to my customer. It all worked out in the end, but man it was nerve racking in the mean time!

Ok, everyone. The Boy has a arrived this morning. Safe and sound. He's set up in qt and will be ready for his ladies in no time... Well actually 3 months. I just want to say that Josh Harler from Cape Fear Constrictors was great to work with. He was on top of things with Fedex and I'll be gladly doing more business with him in the future. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Oh, the male is called a Greanade Spider. Fire Spark Spider male gonna be a big part of my yb complex projects. I've named him Gunner. Have a great day.

glad everything turned out alright, but that's the type of stuff that would make me want to choke someone in anger

Yeah, it was a bit stressful. It all ended well, now Gunner is settling in and will see some nice yb combo girls in a few months.

Really nice to hear that happy ending :)

Re: Fed ex nightmare....
Sorry to hear about the mishap. Fedex's memphis hub is the largest in the world and sorts through 1,500,000 packages a night. Things are usually kept track of pretty well but when you have that much volume its kind of difficult to keep track of everything all the time. What was the shipping method? I would recommend first over night. It's expensive but those packages basically have a priority over all the others and its the fastest possible shipping method.

It was shipped Priority Overnight. I've used the same shipping method with Fedex, as both shipping and receiving. This was the first problem I've encountered. I fully understand the volume of packages can be quite overwhelming. I just feel that packages marked with "Live Animal" shouldn't be delayed for anything barring some crazy weather phenomenon or emergency. All ended well, Gunner is safe and that's all that mattered. I'm happy with the transaction with Josh and Cape Fear Constrictors.
