I like snakes. I can have more than one, so I do. If had had room and money, I'd own twenty cars, ten T.V.'s, eleven Xbox Ones....etc...
I have display cages and racks.
I get that racks are ugly, boring, and a bummer. They are however, REALLY good at maintaining a great, healthy, and safe environment for your snakes.
It just isn't practical when I have ten snakes to have them all out in display cages.

I am now the proud owner of 8 and I love them all, even when things aren't going peachy. Each has a different personality and I love it!
I like pets become part of a family and with living alone at the moment they are like my little family away from family. Now either everyone feels this way or I am really sad ;)

Lol, it's not just you. I've had a few mornings when, after a really rough night in the ER, I walk in and see my little noodle periscoping like she's been waiting for me to come home. Gets me every time. Especially since they almost always look like they're smiling.

Well I don't have multiple yet, but I have plans for many, many BPs...
The genetics of the snake fascinates me. I love reptiles to begin with and snakes have always been really cool in my eyes. But until I landed upon this forum didn't fully grasp what went into breeding them and the possibilities. The fact that 2 snakes bred together can produce a dozen different snakes that look and act differently.. That's just amazing to me. With people the closest you get is interracial babies.. In which case you get a mocha baby.. With snakes it's like.. Here's a yellow snake, here's a brown snake.. Lock em up and hey- you just got a white snake with orange spots!
I've always loved math and science too.. So I guess the idea of a 3-4-5 in 1 animal is just too damn cool to let go of :D
And as was said before.. There's just too many pretty colors.. lol

Exactly. I see so many people rant on breeders youtube videos about how they keep their snakes in "awful" conditions because they are in tubs but they don't realize what to have that many snakes in a display of their own would cost an astronomical amount of money. And- the BPs are perfectly happy and secure in them! I plan to use displays for all my hold backs and once I start breeding invest in racks

I currently have 7 bps will have another 2 tomorrow. All but 1 is in a tub and the only reason that one is in a tank is because it was my first bp and tomorrow when i get my bci the one bp i have in a tank will be in a tub because the bci will be taking his tank. All the snakes i have in tanks are display animals like my rainbow boa and now the bci tomorrow.

Personally, I'm content with my one little monster... Python-wise, anyway. I still have to talk myself out of a rainbow boa and a super dwarf retic on a daily basis.
So let's hear it. Why do you have X # of ball pythons?

I've got 2 and. Have no need for any more..unless breeding I don't get why people have 10-20-30 of the.. To each there own,but I like to give all my pets equal attention..there pets I treat them like fam and friends not collectibles, hot like I said to each there own.. As long as u take care of them, that's what counts

Yeah my first was in a vivarium enclosure, she's gone into a tub tonight to see if it improves her eating etc in comparison. All of my others seem quite content in their tubs :) I do only own royals though.
