I'm glad you finally got "Douche" and his subordinates, although it's sad that you didn't get all of your animals back. Hopefully the other two will be found and returned to you quickly. And while I have no sympathy for "the girlfriend," I do feel sorry for her unborn child. It has nothing to do with this whole debacle, but it is also being punished for it in other ways.

If you can come out of this with a few mites and perhaps a minor RI, it will be a blessing. Thank goodness the reptile community is so tight knit and take care of our own. Personally, I am not surprised by their stupidity at all. These days stupidity runs rampant and common sense doesn't exist. I hope with all my heart the last two snakes are quickly accounted for and your babies are returned to the person who loves them dearly.
I certainly hope these people are punished severely, although my gut says not likely. Perhaps at the very least, they'll think twice about doing something this stupid again. Yeah, I don't really buy that either.

Snakes stolen!!! Attention!
He should be thrown in jail for the haircut alone.

Wow, it's amazing and wonderful that you got them back! I really didn't expect it so soon. So sad about their condition though. I really hope that the last two are recovered as well.
-
That is wonderful news, I'm glad you got your animals back. Do you have any leads on the two missing snakes?
-
So glad to hear you got most of them back! I hope you eventually recover the other two.
-
Congrats on the recovery of the ones you got back. Best wishes on getting the others back soon as well.
In my opinion it should not matter what age you are, if you commit a crime of this magnatude you should be tried as an adult. Hopefully they do get what they deserve and learn their lesson.
Again Congrats on everything so far and good luck on the rest of the recovery process and getting the babies back in good health.

Congrats on getting the snakes back...

I hope your other two animals come home soon! Very interesting story to follow, the stupidity of humanity astounds.

Re: Snakes stolen!!! Attention!
I am so happy for you getting the majority of your snakes back, although not in the same condition they were taken. I really, truly hope you find the other two soon. The actions of some people is truly disgusting, and it saddens me daily, especially when I hear stories like this. This was a relatively good (almost?) ending to your story.

Snakes stolen!!! Attention!
Glad you got them back and caught the scumbags.
I'm worried everyday I go home I will be missing snakes because my landlord let scumbags live in the apartment next to me. They've already stollen scrap from my pile and got caught. Hope they don't try to break in because they won't like me afterwards.

Glad they were found and I hope the other two are found soon too. And I REALLY hope the people that did this get charged as adults. A slap on the wrist will mean they just do it again. If they do some time they hopefully will think twice before doing this again. I think it's pretty ridiculous that minors can get off on committing crimes like this. I couldn't fathom stealing from someone even when I was younger. It's not about age it's their upbringing and their own personality that make this happen. When people aren't good people, the age doesn't have much of an effect in their decision making skills. I feel sorry for that unborn child for having to be brought up by criminals.

Those of us pretty local around Brandon were so happy to hear they got them back so quick. I hope they actually prosecute these guys. As far as I know Douche and his GF are still in jail (but I could be wrong). They NEED to do time!
-
That is epic and at 17 they should be tried as adults. I would urge you to be very careful in the kinds of information, names, and tone of posts you make on the topic... especially with minors involved. People are innocent until proven guilty (lol in this case...) but there are all kinds of details in the law where people can get cases thrown out for certain kinds of disclosure on the part of the prosecution. This is especially true with minors involved - there is a lot of law protecting the privacy of a minors. I'm probably completely wrong and maybe you've already done this, but I would consult with my lawyer about the kinds of names, details, etc that are or are not safe to post publicly.
HUGE congrats on the success of the sting! What a bunch of morons!
I was also about to post that he should be imprisoned on the haircut alone.

Re: Snakes stolen!!! Attention!
Fug 'em. No mercy Brandon. Stay on it, and lean into it.
Best of luck in recovering the other two snakes. I also understand that recovering the animals doesn't make it "all better", but it is a positive step.
But still, lean into it.

I don't know if your prosecutor's office is known for cutting deals (mine is). If you have any pull at all with your local government, make it very clear that any plea-bargain is contingent upon the safe return of those two animals.
-
It's a shame we can punish them like they did in old world Egypt and just cut their hands off!
Glad You've got'm hem'd up!

So sorry to hear as well. Hope you get them back as quick as possible. Best of luck

+1 for justice. I am happy for you.
Congratulations.

Wow...I'm so glad they were caught! Jeez.... And my god are they dumb
-
I just read this update so glad you have recovered most of the stolen snakes and really hope you get the other two as well. I will say your original post prompted me to finally remember to grab some window latches at home depot which had been broken for some time now. My collection isn't huge but has been growing and I can't imagine something like this happening to them.
-
I'm glad you were able to recover what you did. The sad reality of the whole thing is the kids will probably only get a slap on the wrist.
-
I really hope the other two animals are found. They are so beautiful and I would hate to see any harm come to them. So glad the ones that did this were caught.
-

I'm so glad you got most of your animals back, and I really hope you get the last 2 back! Kids think they can get away with anything, because they are under 18, and its disgusting. I sure hope they get tried as adults!
-
HELL YES!! My wife and I had a very quiet dinner last night, as this was the topic.. Tonight is going to be awesome!! So so glad you have them back. Trust me 100% when I say I'm going to have cameras everywhere when we move into the new place! ;) so happy for ya Brandon! 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Glad to hear you recovered some of the animals and the people were arrested.
Sad that it happened at all and for the still missing animals. Did they say what they did with them? Did they already sell those, or is there maybe some other friend who is holding those two for some reason?
I hope you can locate those.

Re: Snakes stolen!!! Attention!
So freaking happy you got some kind of closure on this. May I ask, how did they know you? How did they know to break into that building to find snakes? Had they come over before?
