Being able to tell that a shed is imminent, but the eye-haze doesn't show up for days. I love looking at my boy with a fresh-shed skin, and I am not the most patient person!

    My current frustration? Waiting... :sigh2:

I do love my girls, but I want to take this hobby to the next level.
I do love messing around on the Genetic Wizard and seeing the results online, but I want to be the wizard and see the results in person!

Anyone want to be a very generous anonymous donor to help speed this process along? Never hurts to ask, right? ;)

Eric, I'm on your page lol. I've decided it will just be cheaper for me to breed my own BEL (though not really because food, energy, failed attempts, etc etc but it makes me FEEL like it's cheaper...) so now I have to wait to get the ones I want then wait for them to grow up...

Right now the problem is that I'm down to 1 place in the house where I could QT a snake if I had to, and I've just been offered a free juvenile BCC (along with all his "stuff") from a family whose ten year old son is petrified of the little guy, never mind that the snake has never nipped or acted at all aggressive. I could take him in, but if one of my main group popped up sick and had to be isolated I'd be stuck.

750-900g wall which together is worth $7000+ and is holding back a $6-8k male. I was hoping to get them up to size for January but I'm on the fence as to whether they will be 1500g+ in time. They eat periodically but finicky is an understatement. Only one will strike, the other four girls make me drop the rodent on the hotspot and leave it. :rage:

But no matter how much you try Biology simply doesn't care about what you want :colbert:.

My frustration at this time are the following
Having the patience to wait untill all of my snakes are up to size so I can start breeding.
Not having the money to buy more snakes and as a result have to go the even slower route to my goals of using hets or possible hets instead of the visuals that I would love to have.

I would say my biggest frustration is waiting for these hatchlings to start eating. I have a few that hatched that are already sold or lined up for a trade and of course those are the ones that don't want to eat.

I would have to say my frustration is my mystic being a picky eater. Had her since march and has only eaten about 6 times. Tried rats and mice. Ive changed her subtrate to something a little more natural. Its hit or miss with her. I offer every week but i would say 4 out of 5 times she wont eat. She is 50% of my mystic potion project so it sucks. But she hasnt lost any weight so its not too bad.

My current biggest 2 frustrations are the lack of money to buy everything I need RIGHT now (I'm impatient) and that one of my snakes seems to be stuck on mice ATM. She's still young so I should get her to switch but it's frustrating!

I have a new frustration - family refusing to listen that the mites we just killed off would NOT affect us or the cats, and as a result, I have been sent out of the house along with my three snakes.

My big frustration is my male BP is slow, bless him. 4 weeks out of 5 he'll try to eat his dinner from the middle and when it won't go down that way he classifies it as "not food" (we feed f/t) then refuses to even consider eating it until it's offered several times... if he deigns to dine at all.

And on that 1 week out of 5 when he will eat his prey on first offering? My female loses her mind and won't eat her dinner until it's offered multiple times.

So at this point I'm just resigned to every BP feeding session taking about 45 minutes. Oh well, at least they eat. Usually. :rolleye2:

You're totally right. But part of the snake agreement I made with her, was to have my own freezer for rats. Which, hasn't really gone TOO well at the moment...He's 5 months and I'm feeding him 2 hoppers a week. Hoping in a few weeks I can get enough money to buy a freezer and start getting rats online

Currently... my girl has rubbed the underside of her head sore from countless failed escape attempts :colbert:
    Otherwise... Grow faster dammit lol
