Bad Parking Appreciation Thread
I wish I could afford a car that nice! My escort with 280k may suck but I can park :)

Bad Parking Appreciation Thread
This thread makes me shake my head.
Can't believe that people can be so stupid.

For my bad parking car pic, the vet says it's okay for her to park like that so she doesn't have to walk as far. Mind you, it would be 3 extra steps to park on the ROAD, and she walks all over inside the vet offices the whole time she's there. But ain't my problem, so I don't do nothing except wait for her to drive into the front glass one day. It'll be entertaining.
That sports car is really pitiful. It needs someone to take it home and care for it properly.

I can't even think of a worthy caption for this. Like. why would you do that to a car, THEN LEAVE IT THERE. Especially a good-looking one like that. Mind you, there Is a pretty steep GRASSY slope beyond that curb, leading straight down into the brick apartment building.
I pretty sure these cars are RWD, good luck getting that to move with nothing under the back wheels LMAO
EDIT: didnt read kensa's response, i agree tho lmao!

Re: Bad Parking Appreciation Thread
Good thread. I'll have to take some pics of my park jobs, I can't pull into parking spot without being slanted in some way.
I believe parking like this actually is legal(state and county regulations permitting I'm sure). That area of road looks like a cul de sac type or "recessed" housing/road whatever you wanna call it. In Bucks County, Pa I see this regularly without people getting infractions.

Ahhhh, this one ticks me off too!!! I used to live in San Francisco, where it was the norm to walk BLOCKS to your destination (due to lack of close parking). Then I moved to the suburban south bay, where people think walking two extra feet is like "ohmygod sooooo far; I'll just park at the curb instead." So friggin' lazy - or entitled - or both??
Here's one shot I snapped of this phenomenon... and note all the empty spots around them, plus there were a few more behind/beside me. Unless you're disabled and the handicap spaces are full, there is no excuse for this.

Haha those type of people annoy me. I always hope their cars will get hit bu someone, just to show them why that area isn't a parking spot.

And here's a pic from when I lived in SF, of something that was very common (parking in a clearly-marked NO PARKING zone). As I said, parking is very limited there! Not sure if this is bad parking, so much as risky parking. Those meter maids/men don't mess around, either - as I know from the multiple parking tickets & two towings I received during my time there. :o

I am a mechanic for a local trucking company. No one parks worse then truck drivers. I wish I had pictures but the last serious parking issue I was called to was a water truck in a pond. All that was left above water was the lights on top of the cab and the stacks. He "forgot" it was in reverse.

I know, right? It's particularly annoying in this lot, since the turn out of that row is really tight. Oh, and notice the GIANT truck and (slightly smaller) SUV parked in those compact spots next to them? Also annoying, but less so than the curb parkers.

The white truck is within the lines, so that's legal.... And the other truck is in a handicapped spot. Are you really making fun of a handicapped persons parking?! Thats harsh lol.

I've got two to share this time!
The minivan is my mom's car, the trailer is a guy who decided to park his crap in front of my parents driveway.

Here's a two-fer. I took a picture of the sideways 350z, and later on someone pointed out the landrover in the background as well... I took a picture and put it on Facebook with the caption "whoever this is, I'm calling you out." Their friends recognized the cars and called them out and tagged them lol. What are you madder about: that they both purposely park this way consistently, or that they were both high-schoolers that own cars like this?
I hate people sometimes. (most)
Something I'm considering carrying around with me to patrol my awful dorm parking:

Considering how inexpensive they are... I think it's worth the laughs.

I drove by my high school a few months ago before school got out and there was a 350z and like 3-4beemers in the parking lot. A few newer looking mazda 3's too. Such BS that kids just get handed stuff like that then abuse it like in your pic^

Want to hear about my first car? '98 jeep grand cherokee. 14mpg, broke down constantly, floorboards always flooded and no one could figure out why, AC only worked when it felt like, radio was out, oh, and the hatch back wouldn't hold itself up but I sho' did have a broom stick to keep it up. ;D Oh, and I couldn't lock it, because if I did the anti-theft turned on, and I'd have to be hotwired back into my own vehicle.
I always really, really hoped that someone would steal it lol

LOL my first car was a '73 Ford Pinto I bought for like $700 off Autotrader. In the Pinto orange. It ran about a year.

Re: Bad Parking Appreciation Thread
my 1st car was a 1977 dodge colt station wagon. had a screw driver for a key, no back window, and had to park it on a hill to pop the clutch to start it because the broken ignition would drain the battery if it sat for more than an hour or two. but I had 2 15 inch orions being pushed by a 2000 watt amp, and a jvc detachable face cd player laying/tied to the center console. I paid $50 for the car and $1200 for the system that I installed myself! I was a pimp lmao

Yes, we know it is intentional. That's what makes it a bad job, like every other "not in the lines" parking job.

oh i know. i just thought it's jerkish to do in one of the best spots. if you don't want your car dinged, park in the back of the parking lot where no one else is and walk. you must be someone who does this huh? lol
-
Re: Bad Parking Appreciation Thread
No I drive a POS Ford Taurus with more dents, dings, and scratches than I can count. Only reason I said anything is because I only just recently learned that it was intentional to park that way and the reason for it, and it blew my mind.
-
Bad Parking Appreciation Thread
i see people do this at my work allll the time. if you're in the back of the parking lot thats one thing.. or if you have a boat or a trailer on the hitch.. but i've seen people pull up right in front of the store and take up the two best parking spots during our busiest part of the day. im just like really..? -_- lol

When I drive my cobra I park it on the white line so that way nobody parks next to me. The only reason I do that is because they have some major idiots out here who will hit your car or swing their door open and nail your car and not think twice about it. If I came out and this happened, I'd be inclined to do some things that wouldn't be appreciated. I have a $4k paint job on my cobra.
