One thing that's really different for me is that people automatically assume you're a guy on this forum. I'm used to horse and fish forums where most of the people seem to be female, so that's the assumption made.

I'm a female. I don't have any good shots of me and Allure together though. Going to have to work on that.

Funny, I'm used to firearm forums where it's assumed everyone is a guy. You can't imagine the leg-humping that commences when the guys find out you're a gal.

Yes my fellow man is pathetic. Same thing at bars watching guys stumble over themselves to buy a girl a drink. I just sit back and laugh.

    Funny story...
When my husband and I owned a bar, we were sitting by the electronic games. Some guy across the bar kept looking at me (he couldn't see my husband from where he sat) and then eventually worked up the courage to come over and insist on buying me a drink. I said thank you, I appreciate that. (I tried to tell him no 2-3x) Then I introduced my husband and mentioned we were the owners. His face got bright red, he bought my husband a beer and then verbally stumbled to quickly respond "OH, oh yea I knew that. I uh...just wanted to get...you both a drink..for uh...running such an awesome bar..." He quickly scampered off after our thank yous, and his friends had a hearty laugh shortly thereafter. Silly boys :P

Its why i sincerely thank those members that have their name in either their sig or as their login name....sometimes its just so hard to tell if someones a dude or a chick! Me, i like referring to my fave peeps on here by their REAL first name. Calling people that i like by their forum names is just so impersonal, IMO.

This is exactly why I put my name in my Sig. Its not a huge deal being called a dude, but it gets tiresome fast.

Some people still think I'm a guy with or without the Sig though.....
    Can't say I didn't try. Lol

Despite my loathe for the color pink (I'm not a girly girl by any stretch of the imagination)...I would hope that the fact that I have a PINK avatar and a PINK sig image would clue people in that I am female.

Even with my real name in the sig it's hard for people to tell. I'm assuming it has something to do with being named after the Devon on Knight Rider, who was a guy. Gee thanks mom.
