It would be interesting to see the age demographics of the night owls.

I saw that, because when I was in my 20/30's I was very much a night owl.

Now that I'm in my 40's, I'm lights out by 10 or 11, and even on the weekends, I hate to sleep past 7 in the morning, because I feel like I'm sleeping my days off away and not really getting to enjoy them. Although 7 is still sleeping in for me (I work 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. M-F).

I am a night owl. My mother likes to suppress my habits though, LOL! She works night shift so I don't know why she does that. She's home two nights a week and on those nights she makes me go to my room at 12 at night. I usually just read or watch TV until I get tired which is normally between 2-4am. Both parents like to stroke their ego by making me get up at 10. But left to my own devices, I'd probably get up at around 2pm on most days.

I just spent the last two years working the overnight shift, so I'd just keep to the same schedule on my off days. It's really not that difficult sleep wise however it can be a bit frustrating being out of step with the rest of the world. Stores are never open when you need them to be, it's harder to get together with friends, you don't see your family as often as you like even though you live in the same house. lots of other things like that. However I just changed my shift now for the summer and I'm starting work early in the morning. I'm now finding myself waking up at the same time I used to go to sleep. The transistion is actually a lot easier then I thought it would be. Just remember that melatonin is your friend.
