Nah, your not weird. But now a weirdo can track you down to exactly where you live with those License plate shot's. hahaha But I did notice something strange in the background with you near your computer. FRESCA? Didnt know that stuff was made anymore. It's not sold here in my neck of the wood's.
Now here is where I might sound strange. After seeing your plates, everyone ought to take a picture of thier vehilce and plate and let's see who has the coolest, weirdest, most different etc. plate. Illinois is the number one state for personalized plates. And i have had some real good ones. A real good one is on my truck right now. As soon as i can borrow a camera I will take a pic and put it on here. I think you all will like it.
-
Yeah, we've got Fresca in Mass. What we don't have is Hire's root beer... that stuff is hard to come by! Thanks for mentioning the Fresca too, now that I look at my desk I have like a million empty bottles and cans that should be disposed of... oh well.
Oh crap... knew I forgot to do something, I meant to blur those plates out, lol. Oh well... let's just hope none of you are stalkers! Then again anyone I drive by or who sees my car parked could track me down too so I guess it doesnt matter. My sister's ex was jealous of my plate because some people think it's a vanity one (24 hours of nitro). It was an accident though, and I don't know who would stick nitro in an old Lincoln, lol. Now I can't wait to see your plate! Oh the suspense... :D
-
I also love old cars........ but i have an old truck rebuilt 3 years ago its a 79' gmc tahoe lowered and suped to the titaas!
i'll post a pic tomarrow as well
hey invadertoast I bet my cat is fatter than your cat.............hahaha
post of pic of him and i'll post a pic of mine
we can have a......................fat off?
hehe i'll do it tomarrow because i don't have to work.
i'd be willing dollars to donuts that my cat will win
he's one FAT CAT!
-
why do i always forget to sign in????
oh well
p.s. nice car invader!
-
Lol, well here he is, Sidney, fat cat extrodinaire-
https://ball-pythons.net/albums/Other/sidney.sized.jpg
Maybe not the fattest cat ever, but Siamese cats are supposed to be tiny!! He's about 25lbs... haven't weighed the sucker in a while, lol.
Your truck sounds awesome! You can see my family's Bronco in the background of one of my pics... I had big dreams for that truck, but mom sold it for 50 bucks a couple weeks ago!! The body was totally gone but it only had 14,000 miles on a 351 Cleveland! I wanted to at least drive the hell out of the Lincoln's 302 then put the 351 in there for kicks or something. But the Lincoln doesnt even have 100,000 yet... I almost killed mom for selling that, lol. Oh well... I'll have an old Bronco or Suburban (the three door kind are so cool) or an older Lincoln with a 440 or maybe an Olds with a 455 Rocket... AH!! but what I really want is a 1973 Buick Riviera with the awesome boat tail! AH!! Cars make me soooo excited... someday... my list of dream cars is 12 miles long... Hell, I want my own car lot and custom painting buisiness someday!
-
wouldn't that be nice
i have my dream truck
my dream car however is a regal Grand national
i was going to buy one instead of the truck but insurance was through the roof
and GOD DAMN that is one fat cat concidering its siamese
they are supposed to be very slender wich sidney most certainly isn't
my cat is a bit fatter but you win concidering its breed!
mine is a taby wich are natorious FAT CATS so its not near as impresive
he sure is cute though!
-
Lol, thanks, I can't wait to see your cat!
Grand Nationals are sooooo nice... in fact most Buicks are, lol. My boyfriend's dad had an '87 Riviera with a touch screen display and reversible leather seats! I mean seriously, reversible seats... that thing was so cool. Had the HELL driven out of it though... we didn't think it would ever die but the engine finally gave out on it and made the most bizarre noises I've ever heard come out of anything. Next summer it's gonna be a demolition derby car, I can't wait! We always called it the Devil Car :D I've got pics of that somewhere if anybody is curious.
-
-
that is the fattest cat i've ever seen. it looks like a baby cow. (in a cute way of course).
here's another of myself, try to get over the bed-head. and the beat up eye piece.

Are you kidding, that cat is not fat, it's big boned! My cat is a big girl too, I'll get pics. It's cute too, I call it my little teddy. Fat cats are great to have around, their softer, and more fun to be around.
Seeing those cars made me think of an old snoop dog video.
-
Wow....wish I considered modles in the 70's & 80's as old. haha Your telling your age's by this you know. An old car to me has to be from the 50's and back. My favorite is the 55 Chevrolet Nomad. My next would be the 32 Ford Coupe. But to each his own. And on your cat....He is a bigg'n Neutered aint he? That's the reason. I have a Female Russian Blue that top's the scale's at about 22lbs. She is not so much fat, just HEAVY.

I havent been on for awhile cuz I lost my bestfriend/my dog...Came home after school and My dad had given him away.........
-
heres me
BallKingdom - I agree! Fat cats are the greatest! So snuggly :D
Hey Ironhead, Nomads are awesome too! I know I'm a young'un but I don't really consider 80's cars to be THAT old... I'm only on the verge of 18 but 90's cars have never existed to me, let alone anything after that, lol. I wish I'd been born sooner and been around when the car culture really started to appear. I'd like to look at a car and remember seeing it new rather than wonder what it is. I've collected a couple old magazines (oldest being 1953) on when custom painting first started to enter the automotive world, neat stuff! I have yet to learn about cars of the 30's and 40's... haven't looked into them as much as the 50's and up but I do know a little. My dad's first car was a '55(ish...not sure on exact year) Fairlane... how I envy him! Oh man, I could talk about cars for months and months and not get tired of it. All my friends think my car is ancient, but she only tuned nineteen last month! I think I've been born to the wrong generation, I mean my prized posession is a toaster from the '20s...

Addicted_2_Herps -- Sorry about your dog :( That really sucks... I hope you're feelin' better!

OK, you all got on the subject of our "older" vehicles. So, here are pics of my truck. She is a 86 s-10. As you can see, she is not too bad as far as physical shape, but what you cant see is the rusted out line thats about 2 inches wide and runs along the length of the bed along the tail gate. Eventually, I am going to put a whole new bed on her, get rid of the tail gate and get a gator net... and repaint all of her. From the factory, this truck was a 5 speed 2.5l engine. Now she has a 2.8l and is automatic. But next spring I am dropping a 4.3l vortech into her and considering making her a standard again. 4x4 ofcourse... I would have a truck no other way cause I like to use it for a toy too, not just transportation and utility reasons. I paid $600.00 cash for the truck..best deal I have ever run up on. The guy was asking $950.00. He put the new rebuilt 2.8l and auto trans in, had 30,000 on it when I bought it this past Feb- OK, I did not actually pay for it, it was my Valentines gift from my hubby. One of the best trucks I have ever owned. The pics were taken not too long ago, after a good cleaning and waxing. ENJOY!!!

Well, i did something wrong........It wont take you to the picture.....I guess practice makes perfect....or not!!

My brother is the one in our family with the "car". He picked himself up a very nice looking '57 Belair (IMNSHO the Apex of Chevrolet's development). When I was out in California in October he took me for a ride in it. Very nice.
I have a '74 Datsun 260Z that I may restore one of these days, if I ever get over the "burned out on working on cars" phase that I'm in. For years, we bought older cars that I kept repaired for us. A little over 3 years ago we decided that we needed something more reliable and bought a new 2000 Saturn SL2. A year later I traded in my wore out '89 Mazda B2200 for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma. The only work I've had to do on the Tacoma since buying it was installing the Receiver hitch, changing a flat tire, and replacing the battery a couple of weeks ago. Toyotas are mighty reliable vehicles.

Hot damn....only took me 2 try's. Guess I should have taken a pic of the whole truck, but it's the plate I wanted to show. The truck by the way is a 96 Dodge Ram Extended Cab. Now, if you have seen many of my post's, you should be able to figure out what the plate's refer me to. Either I am......a). Divorced and free b). A freak or c). I give one free whatever. hahahaha
-
Jeanne -- nice truck!! My cousin had an '86 S-10, loved the thing to death, it was a real nice little truck, and did all the work she needed it to (she's a horse person).
Hoomi -- My mother's boyfriend almost boughtt a Z-car not too long ago, it was really cool! He seems to have a collection of small cars going... As for Toyotas being reliable, he's got a little green 1980 Toyota truck with nearly 200,000 on it and it's still the best running car in our fleet, (we've got ten cars in our driveway/yard/garage) in addition to being the oldest! It has yet to give us any major problems.
Ironhead -- Hooray!! Glad your pic worked, lol, nice plate!!
-
Re: This "Police Brutality" garbage hacks me off.
k, Ironhead, I would say it is "a". Hehehe. But could be "b"..hmm, and "c"- I am not even touching that one. ;) But those are cool plates.
Oh found some other really cool pics I took.
http://www.ball-pythons.net/albums/album29/Race_Car.jpg
This belongs to some one I know, it does get raced, this car is out of Illinois. I like it, its just cool.

This belongs to Kendall County Sherriff Dept in Illinois. They siezed this car from a drug dealer and cleaned it up..its nice. And this car is a hell of a runner. I just thought it was kinda cool..and that I would share!
-
I dug through a few archives on a site and located this pic from way back when. This is my sweet ride, totally blinged out. Enjoy, sorry for the bad decals, they don't look too cool. But since bling and decals are an excellent substitute for speed, they're cool.

I think I saw that same car in the movie TRON..........
-
You know.. I do believe this is the longest running thread on any 1 topic I have ever seen carried for so long. HEHEHEHE I love it!
-
Wow- Ironhead, I have not thought about Tron for years..hmm, maybe it is from Tron. Maybe I am getting old, I cant hardly remember Tron...
LOL

I hear ya
Well....since you guy's showed your fat cat's, I'll show you my fat Chihuahua. The White one (little B. 6 years old) weighs about 3 lbs. The little Brown one (cinnamon 8 years old) weighs a whopping 4 lbs. The big brown one (pugslee 8 years old) weigh's in at a whopping 16 lbs. They are all full blooded chihuahua's and the two brown one's are brother and sister. Yep...Brother and sister. The vet told me that 1 out of 500,000 chihuahua's are born big and that I got one of them. The white one is the grandaughter of the little brown one, which makes her also a niece to the large brown one.

Crap!
Woah! That chihuhua is huge and you look EXACTLY like my uncle Bert... that's so weird it's alsmot scary, I'd almost say you were him and just lying but he doesn't have a computer, lol. He spends his time inside (he has kidney problems so he doesnt move around much) or riding his Harley... not learning how to use a computer, lol. Weird!!
-
Wow......even stranger......I spend my time inside due to lung disease and I sold my Harley a few years back.......They say everyone has a twin out there somewhere.
-
Woah! That is not at all like I pictured you, Carl! Funny how we form mental pictures of people, based on very little information!
-
Well Im curious now.....Just how did you picture me Randy? Hopefully not with buck teeth , balding and a hump back...hahha
-
Hey Randy......Here is another picture of me back in the mid 90's. Dont remember the exact year. But this picture also has one of your fellow Coloradoin's in it. Any guesses to who he is....(Hint) Former NHRA Motorcyle Champion. I met him through my Ex wife who was good friends with his girlfriend at the time.

Yup, that was it!
J/K!
I did picture you as bald, though! Clean shaven. Probably like you would look without any hair on your head or face. If I find a pic of somone similar to the mental picture I had of you, I'll post it.
-
Luckily on the bald part I doubt I will ever need to worry about it. There is no one on either side of my parents family that I know of that is bald. And on the clean shaven part.......I havent been clean shaven since I got out of the Army in 82. My kid's have never even seen me without a beard except in pictures.

This is weird, lol. What year was your Harley?? I think his is a '76... I remember my parents took a picture of some guy that looked like another uncle of mine... I saw the picture and didn't know why they said it was weird! Uncle Bert really really likes Eleanor too, when I visit him and she comes with me, she hangs out on his belly while he watches tv.
-
I had a 1984 Sport Glide last year of the evolution motor. When I sold it I was in a world of hurt for some quick cash. Miss the ole girl tremendously. If the last two rugrat's would hurry up and move out I am really thinking of getting another. But then I would probably have a better chance at winning the lottery.
-
Wow....Cant believe this post has gone untouched for so long. We need to at least get 100 post on it before it fade's away.....
Monty said that since others were sharing thier loved car's, he wanted to show his....so here they are.....

Fisherman... what d'ya know... Uncle Bert lives in on island, I painted the lettering on his friend's fishing boat. What's with all the weirdness?? I assume there's no possible way you're a fisherman seeing as you're from Illinois... but still... okay so that fishing thing was a long shot, lol.
-
Now, now, now.....I am from FLORIDA.....I live in Illinois now. And yes, I use to ride out on the charters and deep sea fish every weekend when i lived in Florida. But not professionally of course. So as to keep the weird stuff going, I live in Merritt Island Florida...........Welcome to the Twilight zone

Sorry, that was suppose to say that i Lived in Merritt Island Florida...Not live
-
Lol, well Long Island Nova Scotia is a far cry from Florida, and my uncle was never a fisherman, but he used to go out on his friend's commercial boats just for fun, and he'd man the boat while they were diving. Weird stuff, lol, maybe you're the southern version of Bert! He's divorced too... now please don't tell me your Ex came back and trashed your house and tore down walls in a wild drunken fit with some friends while you weren't home, forcing you to move to a new house... because that would just be too weird, lol.
