My first ball was also a normal:

The g/f wanted a snake so we picked him up off a girl on kijiji who didn't want him anymore. He if my favorite snake to introduce "non snake people" to. He is so gentil and calm. he has already turned 5 or 6 people off their snake fears. Gotta love those balls.

My first was a normal. It was a valentine's gift from my girlfriend at the time. She's now my wife and won't by me anything.

Thats funny, I got a normal for valentines day once from my boyfriend... And now we have 8 snakes.

My first was a normal I got at 15 named spike. He was a rescue that was thought to be fairly old when I got him. I had him for 6 years before he passed.

    sent from my EVO

Like so many of you, my first was a normal too! Her name is Delilah, and I got her from the East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley in 2009. She's still part of my collection, and is almost breeding size now... growing a bit slower than usual, due to some feeding issues at the beginning (mouse-only and frequent faster). I wouldn't say she's the nicest snake I own, but she does have a special place in my heart. ;)

Here she is when I first got her:

And a bit more recently (last year?):
