While my wife and I were one of the intended scam victims and you would think I would have the same opinion, I really don't. I just believe if you are going to be shipping first you need to verify who you are dealing with. Lots of people are on these boards who are honest. Most people have several ways of verifying you are dealing with the right person. You can look for their web site or user identities that lets face it are normally on more than one of the major reptile forum sites. That is actually one of the reasons I like how locations are listed under the users. If I get a shipping address that does not match the profile location that sends up a huge flag. If they have a web site it is even better since they list additional contact methods, and I will definately try more than one way of contacting someone before I do any shipping.

I looked into it and property records says its Off the market. Meaning someone lives there, is it the person idk.

The number given with the addy was over 2 hours apart. The number comes from Jackson Mi, Wheres addy is 2 hours away from that. I called the number and after talking about whats going on i was hung up on.

Only person I know in that area is Evan Stahl

This thread makes me sick I really hate people sometimes. I hope this guy gets what he deserves.

If they are scamming to get animals they obviously don't have money to take from them...I would not have had NNJ Exotics go public with that email until you guys set the perp up. I would have had the animal shipped and been there waiting with the local PD undercover. Mind you, the PD will take it very serious as the value of the animal constitutes grand theft and carries a hefty sentence.

Wow just read through this thread and most of the other one you posted. That just blew my mind to think someone would do this. Hopefully you find out who this person or persons involved are and stop them. Good luck with every thing. I just can't believe the nerve of some people.

Its obvious who ever it is, is not aware of the thread, as they contacted 2 more after it started. Nor would I want a snake shipped in this situation.

The owner of the house is David Weaver but its a house we believe he rents to someone as his place of residence is down the street.

Could you get one of the people who have been contacted by this scammer to send an empty box to them? This way no animal will be involved and you can still do a stake out and see who is really behind this and catch them red handed.

You should try and see if the home owner will be a part of setting the perp up. If he is aware of his tennants illegal actions and allows it to take place out of his house he is guilty by association. Just a thought.

I will be going over everything to get The Landlord in on it to see whats going on.

I do not, have not and will never sell animals that I do not own, use others pics to sell animals that do not exist, etc., etc.. I have 1 ip address that I have had for many many years. I have one email that I have had for many many years. My business, my website and everything else about me is clearly in my name with no attelpt to hide anything or confuse anyone.

I have a very nice ball python collection, produce very cool ball pythons and get very cool ball pythons in all the time in trade from good friends. I do not need and will not defraud anyone ay any time for any reason and anybody that would infer or say that I am doing anything illegal will need to be able to back it up! I have proudly been in the reptile business since the 1980's and have seen a ton of losers, frauds, scammers and fly by nighters come and go. Here I still am. Living in the same state, using the same name, selling great quality animals. That is the only way you last this long and thrive as I have.
