I usually listen to anything and everything. As a professional Trumpet Player, I need to stay versatile... So I play and listen to Jazz, Latin, Classical, Funk, R&B, Soul, Contemporary, etc. When I'm in my snake room though, I usually listen to Crotalus (Kevin McCurley's Band) and Slayer.

I listen to Japanese music, mostly from animes, but a lot from this one Japanese musical which I loovveee to deeaattthhh,
but I have a lot of mixed music, 93% is Japanese, but I have a few select English songs.
I love Spanish music, Japanese music, any songs that strike inspiration in me(I'm an artist, inspiration is what I work off of. XD So I listen to a bunch of music.) The songs that inspire me mostly are those really pretty, somewhat slow, haunting songs... that's the only way I can descirbe it. :3
but I hate rap, heavy metal, techno, r&b, pretty much anything current, XD I'm music picky.

Some of my favorite songs include...
Gary Allan - Songs about rain. Most stereotypical country song ever, but its amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEkQGa_O5tU
Metallica - Fade to Black. Enough said :P
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEQnzs8wl6E
Hank JR - Country boy can survive. Some more twang, for the fanatics.

The Charlie Daniels Band - The devil went down to georgia. Great Song, Better story, Amazing talent The way more music should be. :gj:

Lastly, for those who think that country artists are "talentless, twangy, three chord guitar players" heres Keith Urban, Rollercoaster Solo.

Very true, Ive never been a huge A7X fan, but i can definitely respect the talent they brought to the rock industry, and the REV was an excellent musician :(. But like most musical talent, the loss of one great artist brought along a whole new chapter of excellent songs, so atleast one good thing came out of a very bad scenario.

I listen to a little bit of everything, though - my taste usually tends to stay in the Rock, Metal, and Grunge range. Lately though, I've been listening to a lot of Ra and Egypt Central. I think it's because I've been twitching to go to a concert.
-
Been listening to a lot of Cake, Muse and Audiovox lately...also Dropkick Murphy's, NOFX, Black Keys...and of course Pink Floyd...:)

Re: whats your music???
Anything from Candyrat Records. Don Ross, Antoine Dufour, Craig D'Andrea, Ewan Dobson, Nicholas Barron etc. etc. I have also been listening to Umphrey's Mcgee, old Motown stuff and anything blues. I like good music from any genre, but I prefer it to have guitar.
-
Re: whats your music???
depends on the particular day.
-
Re: whats your music???
I have robot ears. :>
I love me some Techno. Any branch of Techno. Dnb, dub, happyhardcore, chiptune. and the list goes on.
Occasionally i enjoy some indie, rockabilly, ska and punk.
-
I listen to underground hip hop. not that garbage top 100 crap they play in the club either..older stuff like the Roots, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Mood, Boot Camp Click, Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest...etc.
I grew up listening to metal, but got into hip hop when i wrote graffiti as a teenager (in the 90's) it was more of a cultural thing than anything. graffiti is considered an element of hip hop so they went hand in hand. even though i'm not an active graffiti writer anymore, the music still speaks to me.
a LOT of people don't like hip hop, and for good reason. 95% of it is crap. its that top 5% that makes me a hip hop head. :D

How does one even define death metal. Metal is metal....no need for more categories IMO. :)

Classic rock is my favorite. gorrvy, dancable songs that make me feel good and get me pumped. but really i like pretty much everything but rap and country and the pop of this decade.
-
Techno gets me pumped. I used to listen to sandstorm over and over during swim practice to get me going.

It depends on what I'm doing.
Relaxing, or enjoying my day? Gwar, Three Days Grace, Amon Amarth, other various rock/metal bands.
Playing online games, such as shooters, or MMO's (PVP), then it's usually Ska, or other pop-ish music. Hey if I'm competing, to take out the other team, I need a beat to it. Operation Ivy, Lady Gaga, and Eminem are a few of what I listen to while 'shooting to the beat'

I mostly listen to jam bands, some electronic music, and indie/alternative rock
Just to name a few: Umphrey's McGee, Disco Biscuits, Deadmau5, Rusko, Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, Moe., String Cheese Incident, STS9.. I'll be very impressed if anyone is familiar with any of the jam bands.
I'm not a big fan of jam bands but I can more than appreciate grizzly bear, fleet foxes, mumford and sons, and STS9, but I wouldn't consider any of them jam bands.
