Here are a couple of pics. She still looks emaciated, but most of her stuck shed is gone--at least compared to at first. She has gained about 50 grams since I first got her.

How is that snake alive still? That's terrible.

What scares me is this prior owner had children? When she couldn't even figure out that this snake wasn't well? That raises red flags to me. I bet I could find random people on a street who could say those pictures don't look good.

Unfortunately, she died some time last night. We tried, but she was just too far gone. Poor little girl.

I can't believe people would starve an animal like that! I don't care what type of animal it is, it doesn't deserve abuse and torture.

Wish she didn't end up being a lost cause, but we tried. Stupid uninformed people...thought they were taking great care of her!

Thanks for all your support, well wishes, and prayers. She's in a better place now.

I'm so sorry to hear that! That is so sad. I was so hoping that she was going to pull through. I couldn't help but cry when I read that she died. I'm glad she spent the end of her life with someone who actually gave a monkeys

I am just beside myself with disgust. I am so happy that you have her now. best of luck with gal back on track! Can't wait to see the 'before and after pics'.

I just rescued a bp this past Sunday from a pet store. She was an owner surrender "for unknown reasons". The workers wouldn't handle her and didn't know the first thing about her. They had her in a 1ftx1ft glass terrarium that I wouldn't house a baby in. Bright as heck harsh lighting, no humidity what so ever, no hide, etc. Now mind you she is dang near full grown!

Thankfully this girl is not under weight. She too had some stuck shed on her but nowhere near what your poor snake has.

So far she is doing excellent. No concerns, no issues what so ever. She (like most bp's) has such a mild, docile temperment and she is quite the curious gal! She's living the high life now though. Spoiled she shall be for the rest of her life!

Good luck with yours and keep us all posted on her progress please!

I didn't continue reading before submitting my last post :( I am so sorry to read that she died. At least the last owner she knew gave a crap about her and tried. And at least she got to experience some kindness before her end. Much respect to you for trying for her. It's quite obvious that her previous owners never did.

...very sickened and disgusted now. Stupid ignorant moronic people....

man that sucks she passed on, it may just been to late to save her which sucks ( this person needs to be reported for aminal cruelty cause I never seen a snake that bad. ) I would make do it myself if i had the info needed. I hate to see how the other animals/kids look if raised in that kind of enivorment . let alone what the house looks like.

I'm so sorry she passed. I too have had to watch many rescues in astonishing condition pass on to a better place. My only happy thought Is they have stopped suffering. It's amazing that people have no issues with watching an animal die. it's very sad they were so uneducated or ignorant that their crazy thinking and mind set makes sense to them. They really don't understand the damage they cause as the poor animals body eats away at itself. So sorry. Report those scumbags and save the pictures as evidence. I wouldn't be surprised if their kids are neglected as well.
