I personally do like Victoria Secret; although, not for me. :P I have been known to shop there a few times for girlfriends.

I've gone into a couple stores looking for Victoria to see what all the whispering is about but she is never working...

...someday Victoria...I will find you...and you will spill it!

(there is a joke in there somewhere)

Oh please 32DD girls, help me find bras! The Victoria's Secret by me stopped carrying that size in the style I liked =( and I love VS.
I've tried Target, but their bras always make me look weird.
And I completely agree on bigger sizes always being boring and plain. I want a pretty bra!

I like Victorias Secret bras for the most part.
There are always some styles that work for some women, but not others.

Actually, I managed a Victorias Secret for awhile ;) So I'm an expert bra fitter :)

There are many cute bras in D and even DD sizes, so not sure why this is an issue ? Perhaps what I find cute isn't what others have in mind, though, hehe. Never did like the overdone ones. I do like some lace on mine, but mostly want them to be "T-shirt" style, meaning, not showing through the shirts so much.

It really is true that most women wear the wrong size, though. Most wear them wrong, period. They wear the strap to high up, which makes the cups fit wrong. Also, the support is supposed to come from the band, not the shoulder straps. If the shoulder straps are what is keeping stuff in place, then it doesn't fit right and will be very un-comfortable.

    But enough shop talk...LOL

The stories I could tell about working there and people shopping there ;)

I did buy a lot of their stuff, have a ton of it still. But thats because I had a great discount, and always got to see the new stuff first, LOL.

ps. many women come in fresh from their boob job, and get very disappointed that they can't get the bras to fit. The problem is usually not that the bras aren't big enough, they just aren't meant to fit such a rather un-natural shape (way high, round and sticking straight out, plus huge cup to band ratio) Sorry to be so blunt, LOL

I guess all that was way TMI ;)

I have to add, one of my favorite items were always the silk nighties or pj's. Not the synthetic stuff, but actual 100% silk.

Nothing like having that against ones skin :) Nowadays most of their stuff is synthetic , though, which I don't like.

I bought so much back then, it should last a lifetime, though ;)

I love Victoria's Secret.. their prices are worth the comfort and long-lasting material :) And yes, they actually do have a TON of cute D and DD bras.. I would know, lol. They're usually just kept in the back!

We used to have boxes under the tables, as well.

You just have to know where to look, hehe...

Lol true, I typically just ask one of the dressing room workers to grab the right size for me. They're always willing!

I don't really prefer them and, to respond to the original post's comment about men, my husband doesn't either. ^^ They style of their lingerie doesn't really appeal to me...and I don't like spending a lot of money on clothes anyways. :)

I agree, the website often has sizing and/or styles that the stores don't carry. Plus you can always find coupons online, either for a discount or free shipping or both...

Once you order online, they also send you coupons for free panties and whatnot ALL the time, LOL.

VS has ZERO business with kids anything that just makes me feel disgusting thinking about it. What the heck happened to children just being children? I heard a story this morning about how Ambercrombie has a 2 piece bikini for kids that is a push up! We should cherish and protect our children not whore them out and make them look like pieces of meat waiting to be picked off.

OK I'm off my soap box now.

I like taking my wife to VS and do not mind paying the prices to me (and the missis) it is worth it. She says they are comfy and I think the stuff looks great!

Also this thread is worthless with out pictures of what you gals got ;)

I hate bras period. It's the first thing I do when I get home, if it's a lazy relax night. I would go without one all the time if they made....... um.....covers so that clothes wouldn't rub on the tips. That's so funny feeling.

But, then again, I have only had one VS bra in my life. After one wash it was all out of whack. And, I haven't had any kids either. I will probably wear bras more often when gravity takes control.

My problem is, we're women. I need more snap thingy's in the back, or closer together or something. I can't ever find a comfy fit.

My favorite pj's are tighty whitey's and a man's old band t-shirt. Mmmm. Got to love that man smell. Even after it's been washed. :)

I love VS.. I wear a 38 DD, and I have tried bras from many places, and VS is the only place I find that fits me juuuuuuust right..

(lace bio fits are my favourite)

the one thing to remember, is that you often get surveys, or coupons so i rarely have to pay full price for something.

SADLY.. I have big jugs (that's not the sad part).. but they stopped carrying a lot of the larger sizes in store.. so that causes some irritations..

not to mention.. it seems the more you spend there, the less coupons get mailed to you.. wtf..

Re: Victorias Secret...like or not like?
only real "encounter" i had with a VS was when i first met my current bf in a mall, my daughter was 1 at the time & i'd been letting her out of the stroller every so often to stretch her legs while me & my bf talked. the last time i let my girl out she darted into a VS and i got all embarrassed and started with the "oh my god she just ran in the underwear store!" & was laughing.
(i was very modest & had steered clear of those stores cuz their style was too seductive for my taste).
anyways, my bf casually shrugged and said "i'll get her." he walked right in there, picked my girl up and brought her out, not even glancing at all the chonies around him. i melted at the sight of him carrying my daughter out of there, with her clinging to his neck giggling like it was a game.
my bf doesnt really care for the lacy stuff either, and i personally dont feel any sexier if my undies cost $3 on sale at walmart or $40. i'd rather spend that $40 on something else that's necessary then a single pair of underwear.

I haven't read through everything on this thread yet, but just wanted to throw in my input:

First time shopping at victoria secret was this year and it was AWESOME. I have a completely weird bra size that isn't carried in any store where I live, so I had to drive an hour away to get to VS, but it was insanely worth it. My boobs are happy and so am I. :] (hope that isn't too inappropriate..but since it's really what we're talking about... lol)

Yeah you find me a VS that carries a 42 DD underwire because I don't see it ever happening. If I'm in need of bras its time to drive down to the outlets and pick up a few Bali and playtex. Thankfully they got some sexy styles as well. *evil grin*

For the jaw drop stuff I personally like Fredricks since most of the time they carry my size and their corsets are wonderful! I'm partial to those.

I didn't know VS had a kid section! That's beyond wrong imo.

Also guys- yeah women always talk in details about everything. We have no shame lmao!

I can honestly say I have never shopped in VS, as in I have never spent money there. As far as I know no one has every bought anything for me from that store either. I am a 42D....or is it DD...I dunno. I haven't ever been truly sized. Either way I have big ta-tas. I don't really have a body that you would call sexy, so I don't bother shopping for sexy/cute things anyway.

When I was younger I refused to wear a bra until my grandmother forced me to. We compromised on a sports bra and that is what I wore until about a year ago (I'm 23). Regular bras are just uncomfortable to me. Last year, my grandmother bought me some bras that are normal bras (hook in the back) but they have no wires or anything. They are super comfy but they are not a perfect fit.

I would probably buy things from VS if I lost some weight and had a breast reduction. I'm actually considering going ahead with a breast reduction sometime in the near future as these things kill my back.

And, they get in the way. I don't have really big ta-ta's enough for a D cup. They are really only good for a nice bathing suit look. Otherwise, they should be removable or something. A 'night on the town' look. I don't even think they are fun to play with.

Also, what is with the bathing suit selection now? I'm all about showing what I got, but dang. You loose all leverage when you're walking around a pool basically naked. Forget dinner and a movie. :rage:

Bathing suits! Ha! I am very modest around the swimming pool or on the beach. I wear men's swimming trunks and a not-so-revealing top. 98% of the time I wear one that covers my belly. And 80% of the time I wear a t-shirt over that anyway.

Hmm. Maybe I should go into a VS just to look sometime.

That's still gorgeous though. We're women, we should look like women. Not a 12 yr old boy. :P I tried the men's trunks with a bikini top. They just bunch where they shouldn't bunch. And, sagged on my hips. It was either too tight, or falling down. Not a good look for me in public. Lol.

Most any guy will tell you, they do make those. They are called "Pasties." Why would a guy know that? Because we occassionally go to places where the girls who use them work... :D

Personally, it has always kind of given me the creeps that girls try on underwear, but hate using a public restroom. :weirdface I'm glad our underwear comes sealed in a plastic bag. That way, I know it hasn't been "tried on" by a few other guys... :8:
