It lacked class.
Please carry on, this is a great site and certainly worthy of more than some petty cross-forum infection.
I read the outdoor enclosure thread.
Weren't you making swipes at another forum - in that very thread?
Momma's passing comment about Ssnakess barely registered on my radar until you got huffy about it here.
Admittedly, your "slanderous" comments about another "community" were done without naming it, the comments were much, much snarkier than Momma's. It appears that several people - even a Mod - were very aware of what "community" you were referencing.
Should Momma have repeatedly named Ssnakess when she voiced her complaint? Common decency dictates that she probably shouldn't have.
On the same token, you and at least two others (including a Mod) in that thread were guilty of the same thing. I guess you feel you can stand on the moral high ground because, even though you leveled several swipes at it, you didn't cross the line and name that site - forget that everyone seems to know what site it is - huh?
I guess I agree with you - criticizing one forum while posting on another is cruddy, immature thing to do.

How about we try this: don't mention that other forum. Several people consider it in bad taste to bad-mouth or air your grievances about one site on another.
In fact it's irrelevant to the question you asked. You've gotten enough good information here to answer your question. Ball pythons will not appreciate or benefit from an outdoor enclosure. There are several species of snakes, lizards, turtles and tortoises that will - again, balls are not one of them.
Re: taking snakes outside...
right skip, i got the fact that ball pythons do not need sun...i really did, awhile ago. which is why i gave up on the idea for an outdoor pen or taking the snake outside period.
im just eager for this whole drama-fest to stop, so i can move on & put my energy into getting well as i am sick.

Well, maybe down the road you will get a species that will enjoy an outdoor enclosure or some time in a green house.
This is about the time of year I put some of my more tropical diurnal snake species in the greenhouse so that they can hang in a very large enclosed space with plants to climb and UV rays to soak up - usually when I'm cleaning their cages or doing other work in the yard.
