Your Favorite Boas?

I voted Anaconda. I just got my Yellow Anaconda baby today. Not as bad as everyone says. Its captive bred and the only time it struck was the first time picking it up. The 2nd and 3rd time picking it up, it didnt strike at all. Im still taking precaution by wearing gloves for a little while. I absolutly love the pattern on its back and the speckled black spots all over its belly.

I have 2 boas I like:

I do not own either "YET" Hubby says no big snakes :devilish: some day I will convince him;)

I said redtails and Peruvians because....well my favorites are Peruvian redtails. XD

Dumerils boa hands down

i like all boa i think they're way cool but i doubt ill ever get one just because of the size im not a big snake person but i would totally get a Kenyan sand boa since they don't get as big an i know a bit about them.

I may have said this earlier in the thread but my absolute favorite is an unattainable one... The Scoria boa..

kenyan sandboa's are my favorite by far
not that i dont love my BCC's but <3 kenyans

Technically a sub species but my fav and the only Boa we currently own.

I like all boas but for me it's the Crawl Cay that really float my boat :banana:

I am a fan of the smaller variety of boas. I like the Hog Island, Crawl Cay and Rosy to name a few. But my favorite is the Rubber Boa. I find them so unique. What other Boa is active in 50°f temperature? After 2 years of waiting, I finally picked one up... and I'm getting a mate for it in the next few weeks.

I do not have any Boas now. But my personal favorites are the Argentine boa and Suriname and Guyanna true red-tailed boas. The vivid patterns and colors are very hard to beat. :bolt:

Rainbows are by far my favorite. My least favorite is nicaraguan boa.. lol

the nicaraguan boa should be one of the options...;)

My Favorite is the Dumerils by far, every one I have ever experienced has been so curious about everything going on around them. This is my girl, her name is destruction. She is now weighing in at around 10 pounds.

BCI RTB's all the way baby!

I LOVE RTB's. Same goes for the rainbows... I couldn't pick a favorite Rainbow though...LOL. I love Boas, nearly as much as I love my balls. :) (bad pun...LOL) I personally can't wait to own Boas of my own.

BRB's are such beautiful snakes. I've never owned a boa but once I get a chance to I'm definetly going for a rainbow boa first :D

I have a Dumeril girl who is just the sweetest thing on earth and beautiful. She is so funny and shy, until you get a mouse around her.. then she is the scarriest thing on earth! great hunter though, she wiggles her tail to distract the mouse before striking.. I also have a Cay Caulker who is a fistey little guy and still learning his mannors. I love both immensly. I will say though... I am Dieing for a Leopard boa...

Hogs, Argentines, and Colombians are my top faves (since I have those). But I also love Peruvian and Suriname BCCs and BCLs too.

Surprised I haven't seen anyone mention Fire Belly boas.

Those are freaking COOL!

I love the red tails, I'd love to get a moonglow one day. I also really love BRB's, I'll probably own one one day. ETB's are gorgeous too but I prefer GTP's.

I love my Argentines!! They are incredibly intelligent, interactive, and personable, and way underrated..... :gj:

Of course they can be. Many snakes are actually pretty intelligent - boas included - and they can and will interact with their environment. It stands to reason that they would show curiosity at times and quite often obviously show it.

My favorites are RTB (soon!), Emerald Tree Boa, and the yellow anaconda (probably never but I can dream)

Hypno: The rainbow is gorgeous!! I had no idea they were so pretty.

Recently I have developed an interest in Amazon tree boas and now have three of them. They come in amazing colors, have a great feeding response and will interact with you more than most snakes. And I really love that they perch and make lovely display snakes that you can look at all day long!

The only boa I have owned is a Brazilian Rainbow Boa, love them to death ^^.
