If she's 500g now feed her good & by march she should ready,1100 to 1200 put the male on her if she goes she will eat like crazy feed her good she will be 1700 to 1800g by OV.Thats in the perfect senerio but with balls its not like that she will proply stop eating between 700 & 1000g if that happens well its frustrating it happened to me with two girls I had hope for.

Then youd have a shot at making:
    Killerbees
    Super Pastels
    Pastels
    spiders
    and of course normals.
(you really dont need the adult male pastel, he'll just slow you down)

Good luck whichever road you choose!

:O i never realized that there was a shortcut to this! i think the odds would be better with the male pastel though, and i want him anyways, so hopefully there will be lots of super pastels somewhere!

the female pastel is feeding great as of now, eating 2 mice a sitting about once a week. we're gonna start her on ASF's too as soon as the first litter has grown up enough to be a substantial meal.

    Advice:
Try to stay away from ASF unless you have a lot in your area. Ball pythons love them, but sometimes wont take anything else once theyre hooked. I have a small colony 1.4 x3...and let me tell you...babies take forever to grow! Babies take a few months just to be a decent size meal vs. a rat that only takes a few weeks. This makes a HUGE difference!

Ya know, at 500 some grams, your pastel girl is plenty big enough for a small rat.

oh i know she's big enough, she's eating 2 mice per sitting. it's just we only have 15 weaned rats who we're growing up right now. we're gonna grow up 2 more females i think so we start producing more. the ASF's are just for my adults to eat, any hatchlings will be started on f/t mice, as they are very readily available for me. just at this rate with 10 snakes eating 2 mice per week give or take, we're spending $88 a month just on mice!

    :gj:

    yea you dont need
a super pastel to breed to your bumble. just get a bumble bee X pastel and you got a killer there.. well maybe if your luck is good!
Good luck with your projects! we have similar taste in snakes!
Although i would have to go with killerbee axanthics... but killer bees are up there too!!!

I'm new to the whole breeding thing. Is there a guide or something that will tell me what makes what?
