Could i keep my BP in a tub?

so ur saying that i shoud make like half of his thing screen and the other half holes? that would be perfect. and the Ball python will be fine as long as theres no condensation dripping from the sides?

As for making a giant square in the top for screen i took and exacto knife and just went over the area i wanted once or twice. The knifes cut the tops really easy and then i just cut out a piece of soft plastic screen (not sure what it was made of) that was bigger than the hole and hot glued it to the outside edges of the top. Takes about 10 minutes. Its really easy and my hatchling bp would never be able to rip of the screen or anything. Not sure about an adult since im new to BP's. I hope what ive said helps you out a little, Im new to Bps and the forum, but i still like to try and help :D

Well you said you live in an area with high humidity. My humidity in my room is 45% roughly and the humidity in my tub with newspaper is around 55-65%. Aspen would only give you more humidity which I thought you didn't want.

sounds good! im getting a hatchling and the tubs are only temporary for like a year until he gets big enough to earn a tank. :P:)

okay. so what would you reccomend if i need lower humidity?

Yeah. I got my hatchling about a month ago and hes doing great in his enclosure. Hes eating great and really active when im going ot bed and has been active when i get up since ive been getting up for work at five:). But you can always make one with just holes and then add holes as needed. I have one of the like rubbermaid 12 quart tubs. It has a raised rectangle on the top of the container so i used that to judge where to drill or where ot cut for the screen. Id recommend drilling holes in the top. I have about three rows of 8 eight holes going across the raised rectangle of the top on each end of the rectangle. Each hole is about 1/2 in diameter and spaced about 1/2 an inch apart. I know its a little confusing and i apologize for that. But id go with drilling holes. And you can always add more holes if there is condensation or tweek your setup and place the waterbowl in different areas to get the humidty where it should be. I hope im helping you more than confusing you. :P

your not confusing me at all :)! so im just going to drill as many holes as i need to in the tub, and as long as i dont see condensation dripping from the sides the humidity is fine?

sry im asking so many Qs lol. the last thing i want is for him to get RI or some kind of desiese.:)
