One more quick question...I live in a rural area...what can I use to "enclose" the side and back of my tank?

    Hi,

Do you need the insulation properties?

I am using a double layer of cork sheeting as it looks quite nice (well to me at any rate :P ) and helps keep the temps in the tank more stable.

If you can't get it in a sheet you may be able to find it in tile form.

But if it is only needed to increase the security for the snake then virtually anything could be used from wallpaper on down. :)

Foam core board can be found at almost any drug store. :) I like to use that.

Its like poster board with a small layer of foam in the middle. Usually about 1/4" thick
