The only thing I think I am doing wrong is getting out to late. I think they are a earlier snake. Like around 6-9 pm what. What do you think? I have been treating them like they were Massasauga's, as far as time. They are pretty close snakes. Where in Texas are you from?

I'm in Houston, but that's not where the pygs are. I have never actually seen one, but my friends have seen them. I know where and how to find them, though.

I have quit a few friends in the Houston area. I was just being social by asking you where you live. I havent seen to many people from Texas on here. I wasnt trying to get out of you where the pygmys were. Now when you say they are further west then what I think, are you talking about Western Pygmys or Western Massasaugas. Because I have found plenty of Western Massasaugas, but no pygmys. From what I understand these few counties in North Texas, are an isolated range of pygmys. The rest range from east Texas into Louisiana.

Yeah, I didn't think you were asking for locales though. I was just saying that there weren't any pygs directly in Houston, sorry for coming across defensively.

And I am talking about pygmies, not 'saugas. It depends on what you call far east. I call far east not more than an hour west of the border.

    PM sent.
