    Ok, this is not a one shot deal. Half of my Ball Pythons take from the switch over after I get them in. The other half nearly need to go a month without feeding (healthy adults only) before the do.

    There are a few key factors when switching them over that matter. Especially with certain individuals.

    One make sure they are about 100 degrees (rat/mouse body temp). Trust me, picky ones care at the first.

    Two, Try to tease the picky ones, make that dead rat act like a live one before you just drop it in there. Thats what they are use to.

    Three, don't give up after one shot.

    I have ZERO animals I have not converted to frozen thawed, and I have been doing this for 3 decades! It's a matter of patience, and technique. Once you get them started, you can stop 1 and 2 and practically hand them a room temp limp corpse to chow on.
