Re: Hi everyone, a question about burms
First, welcome. I'm relatively new to this site as well but it is a good one.

Second, welcome to the world of giants! Burms are awesome. And like everyone else says: 9 foot is what I expect in the first year - male or female.

I currently have just one male. He just turned 4 and is 14 feet. He has not eaten the last two winters.

I don't "hook train" my burms/giants. I use other methods, but hook training seems to work for a lot of others, so I'll say go with that. If you let them digest for a couple days then I say interact/handle as much as you want before the next feeding. He'll enjoy the outing and the exercise, especially if you keep him in a tub!

And as for your balls - I handle mine, don't keep them in tubs, pretty much all of the "don't do this with balls" stuff. And I've got two clutches so far from 07 females (out of 3). So I say: Go and play with your balls!

    Chris
