    They don't tend to be accurate. Digital are more accurate. She states that her humidity is good, but she's using heat lamps for heat, which are notorious for sapping the humidity out of the enclosure.

    +1 That would be my guess to the problem. It also sounds to me like she may not be waiting long enough as some others have stated. It usually takes my bp that long to go through the whole process from start to finish. She just finished one the other day:gj:

    I used an analog hygrometer just to compare to my digital one to see what the diff. was and it said the humidity was 80, when it was really 46%. Big Difference.

    And as a side note, her humidity stays at 55% now, this was before I got the setup complete :)

    My analog indicates 54% while the AcuRite (which is further away from the water dish) indicates 73%. :rolleye2:

    Yeah, thats just nuts. I think I read on here somewhere that there was someone who used analog but had a temp gun and they checked and temps were correct. I supposed they could be accurate for temps but apparently humidity is not their strong point
