Glad you got your son into snakes, now he will continue your legacy.

Coco-husk is a good substrate, holds humidity good, always has for me, on the positive side if you are looking to switch, t-rex cypress mulch(double milled) is a good substrate.

I dont think our one year old lil girl even knows they are alive but she will be raised with them so hopefully she wont be afraid.

Well my son is three (will be four in December) and he jumped in with both feet. He named it before he even got it and for the past few days has been telling everyone about his " 'Bino Ball Pipe-thon" named Harry. If you catch them early curiosity will always win out over fear.

The BCI was exactly 1 yr old in those pics which was about 4.5 months ago. Currently he is about 35 inches and getting some decent girth going on finally. He is in between the thickness of a bratwurst and a small water bottle is the best i can describe it as Im not home at the moment to come up with something better...... I have him eating bigger sized small rats but he will take a small to normal sized medium with no problems if the store is out of smalls.

not sure on the weight of either one. the BP is skiny as all heck.... I will put comparison pics to the ones posted in a couple months to show the difference from now till then.
