    Keep the probe inside the enclosure. Stick it right on the glass (but not with tape! hot glue works well) where the UTH is.

    If you still need the heat lamp, a red, or moonlight bulb will work. CHEs are pretty expensive but also work well. Just keep an eye on your humidity as any kind of heat lamp (including CHEs) will cause a drop in humidity.
