Now he has his head out pointed up at a 45 degree angle is this a regular thing they do? He hasn't showen himself in days.

Can you give us some details about your set up. Warm side, cool side temps, humidity? What are you using for heat, do you have a thermostat? What kind of thermometer are you using? What size tank? How many hides?
That about covers it :D

<--Did that 45 degree angle look like this? This picture was taken a couple of hours after our li'l BP ate. After these past 2 or 3 meals of bigger sized mice from what he was getting, he's stretched out his neck straight for awhile, whether vertically or horizontally resting on something, almost like his neck is recovering from the stretching.

My axanthic does that all the time. He seems to just be looking around. He will stare for like 5 mins without moving sometimes.

Yes it was like that by the time I left go out last night he was back in his hide fully.

Mine was listening to Michael Jackson. What was yours doing? LOL! Apparently, that's called "telescoping" or something like that, and it's a common thing they do to tune in to what's going on around them. (When that picture was taken, Patriot was pointing toward the CD player.)

Hah my BP is a very shy guy. He hardly ever comes out of his hide (that I know of) and tends to just stick his nose out at night. There was no music, tv, sounds, ect... he has his own little area.
On a side note when should I take him off fuzzy's?

Just an update. Tonight I had my second successful feeding I used a few techniques from this thread and he ate the fuzzy within 30 secs of me putting it in his tank.
First I thawed the fuzzy out by using a small tupperware container and putting hot water in it, the frozen fuzzy in a zip lock back and putting the piece of the bag with the fuzzy in the water and putting the top over it. I let it sit for about 20 mins like that then I took the ziplock bag out and ran it through hot water for about a min. Took the fuzzy out of the bag and put it on a napkin and put it on top of the tank and let it sit for 30 mins. I then took the fuzzy and put it back in the bag and ran it through hot water one more time for a few mins. Took it out dropped it in the tank and with a pair of tongs positioned the head inside his hide and wiggled it for a few secs. While I was closing the top he was striking at the fuzzy and then it slowly started pulling it in.
After his feast he once again was holding his head out at a 45 degree angle for a few mins before he disapeared again. I fed him a day early as I'm leaving out of town tomorrow afternoon and won't be back until Monday sometime. Hopefully this will help any other beginners. I'll begin holding him next week every other day... here's to more bites ;)
