Re: My BP escaped
How long will it survive until I find it? I don't even know if the pet shop fed it! They just got them in today.

Snakes can last months without food, especially BPs. The longest a BP went without eating was close to two years. I'm sure you can find your snake pretty soon, just remember-- check EVERY small, tight place and also every warm place because that is where the snake is most likely to be.

Yeah, the only problem is they cant survive that long with out heating.
-Check warm spots in your house. If you search on google about your problem they have a big list of stuff to do like where to search, like house hold appliances that are warm and stuff like that. Also do the flour thing. Idk if it will work but if it does that would be cool. Im guessing that your snake has found a hiding spot and is going to stay there, not roam the house.

Unfortunately, yes. They are curious snakes, and they will go anywhere they can and check it out. These snakes live mostly on the ground, but they can climb pretty well. BPs also have been known to go down stairs when they escape just because they were found on the first story of the house when their enclosures are on the second story, so it is thought that they will slither down the stairs.

Re: My BP escaped
another thing to do is you can put out a mice or rat, maybe a f/t one, or a live one. make it bleed a little, that'll draw out the snake after a while.

Re: My BP escaped
what ive heard to do is drag whatever you feed it along the baseboards of your walls (it will likely slither along those rather than the middle of the floor) and place the food inside of a hide. if it goes after the food and eats, its going to want to chill in the hide to digest. and if you can make the hide warm, id do that aswell. goodluck. let us know when you find him.

Re: My BP escaped
Wow, first day and you already lost it... Well, just look inside the drawers of your bedroom, look in the covers, look under the bed inside things. They say they do not usually go farther than 15 ft from the place originally let loose.
