I'd go with the spider. I full size spider gives your more options than a full size pastel. When i was in that boat two years ago I went with a spider.

i would rather go for quality than quickly producing a bee. The nicer looking the pastel, the nicer looking the bee will be. Super pastels are still worth a good bit of money

No, this is very true, but if you're going for quality you need two nice looking pastels, IMO at least. I don't know how nice the OP's pastel looks though, however, with that being said. It all depends on what projects the OP wants to go for. My list of projects I am working toward include all my pastels and spiders. I love them both you can do plenty of cool things with both of them. I just love spiders and I know there is never something I couldn't find to breed to my spiders. Axanthic spiders, Spieds, Bumblebees, Spinners, to name a few that I'm shooting for.

I say spider too. W/ a pastel and a spider, you can make bees, and even the super pastel that you love can be produced by holding back a bee or a pastel that you will be producing. :)

Thank you everyone for the helpful suggestions. I have decided on the female spider to go with my male pastel. And hopefully with that pairing I will get some more pastels and maybe a bee.:gj:
