It shouldn't really hurt to stretch your ears. It should only be a slight burn. If it does hurt than your ears aren't ready to be stretched to the next size

another way to stretch the is to go up a size, wait a month to heal then go down a size. It makes your lobes stronger, but it taks longer

Re: Stretched ears
Im at 3/4"
The bottom of my lobe is getting really thin, I am afraid to stretch it more, I dont want it to pop.
I always said that I would never get cut, but I think that I will have to if I want to continue to stretch.

it burned for a couple hours... that counts as pain if you ask me, and i don't like it.. how long is it supposed to take for them to be "ready"? i waited about three or four weeks in between each size.. i was pretty set on not doing it too quickly. and if i saw any blood i was going to be done.
but that didn't happen.

Usually about 4-6 weeks is good. The burning sensation is normal. There should never be blood when stretching. That means you've tore the fistula and it could cause scar tissue making further stretching more difficult. A good hot shower will help with "loosening" up the skin to stretch easier if you're doing it yourself. A good reputable piercer can also do it for a small fee usually.
PS. 9 years of being a professional piercer.. just so no one thinks im just talking out of my a..

Re: Stretched ears
Dont forget to take care of your ears between stretching. Keep them moisturised, i use coconut oil on my ears and jojoba on my plugs. I use only natural ebony wood.
