    I hear the Zilla one is crap; really poorly made.
    You can find the 500r online at a bunch of reptile supply stores. Most of the time pet stores charge more than $30 for them.

    I honestly don't think you'll need a lamp. My house is always cold, and two UTHs and some insulation did the trick.

    I just received my Johnson thermostat and put it to use. Prior, my UTH was measuring at 112 degrees, and that was with it plugged into a rehostat at the lowest setting! I couldn't believe it! I am glad that I invested in the thermostat, and feel it is a must since the UTH gets to such crazy high temps. The Johnson I ordered was pre-wired and was very easy to use. I ordered it from reptilebasics.com
