Re: high humidity
Having a good size light fixture to keep the room temperature steady will help lower humidity.

problem with that is that its too hot in the house to try and burn up the humidity. i think im getting it down with adding holes though. thanks for the advice guys! i really appreciate it.

Re: high humidity
I'm unsure how to lower humidity, but for the newspaper, you only need to put a few sheets down but it depends how large the tub is. You should only put as much sheets as it takes so you cannot see the bottom of the enclosure (the tub part).

Hah agreed.
I have no AC in my apartment, so I only need to use minimal heating to provide a hot spot for any snakes this time of year.

Re: high humidity
I would have suggested it had I known you were using a tub! XD
Yep, more holes. I know some people who have like 200 holes in a tub.
BTW, your thermostat probe should be on the outside of the tub directly taped to the UTH and your thermometer probe should be inside the tub directly on the plastic where the UTH is (under the newspaper).

thank you very much!!! thats what im looking for! problem is...i dont have a thermostat yet. when i went to petco(and petsmart) they had barely any supplies...and i dont even think they sell the thermostat. could someone get me a link for one i could order? i dont have my baby yet, so im ok for a bit. and i purchesed a rheostat from petsmart and it wont take the temp of the uth below 95.... so i guess im going to take it back and get a lamp dimmer from HD for less. good idea? im not even real sure on how the thermostat works :weirdface

This is a good thermostat that I used when I only had one snake. :)
