    Very true.. take a trip down to you local newspaper and ask about buying the end of the roll. I can buy the end of the newspaper roll here for 2 bucks.

    I would not use repticarpet. Use something that is cheap and that you can throw away when it is soiled. Paper towels i think are the best option for you given your dislike for aspen.
