Man, i pulled a tick off my leg a few weekends back, and pulled 3 off my dog, he is on advantix too:confused:. I think im gonna get checked out for lymes, im not feeling sick at all, but this thread has me worried now. Good luck to you buddy.
It is a simple blood test. If you are truly worried about it I would recommend it. It takes no time to get tested.

I hate Ticks! I live in a part of Georgia that is full of them, I find about two or three on me a week and pull them off our dogs daily.

Isn't lyme's disease something that never goes away? I thought there was no cure for it? Just medicine to control the symptoms when you get them?

If it goes undetected it can cause permanent damage to organs, bones, and just about anything. However if you catch it early, one can take antibiotics that will rid the body of the disease....I hope. :rolleyes:

If you think you hate ticks you should talk to my younger brother! He had a HORRIBLE experience with one when he was 11. We live in the country in south carolina and they are EVERYWHERE I spray my entire yard with tick spray and my dogs have flea and tick medication and they still find there way to my dogs! Anytime we go outside me and wife check each other and our children before going outside and If Ive been in the woods I actually take all my jeans and shirt off outside and soak them with the hose before I walk inside.

I DO have lymes disease. I would classify that at a pretty bad experience in itself.

Thanks all. Yeah...I am confident I caught it in the first stage. The dr. did not seem too concerned. I guess I will find out once I go back in for bloodwork...
