My kingsnake is really active. Shes roaming about her enclosure all the time. Any colubrid will be more active than most pythons and boas.

I have a Mexican Black Kingsnake that is over 1 yr old... He has been very active since about the beginning of May. Starting in the late afternoon he cruises his cage. I believe he is mostly hunting ---he is always hungry...I feed him 3-4 mouse hoppers about every 4-5 days. So along with the increased activity is an increased appetite..LOL.. He is very docile...but when he is in the hunting mode he is very intent on anything moving- including your hand..so I am extra careful then. I use a hook or just let him climb out of his tank into the feeding tub. I am thinking of rehoming him currently and I happen to live in central pa if you are interested.. I would like something a little less active..LOL like a ball python.. So I would have to agree that kingsnakes may be a bit more active.... Heres a picture of him...they are beautiful snakes..
