Eggs dont look so good

Don't believe every thing you hear I've gotten 3 great clutches this year from first time moms and last year my smallest clutch was 8 eggs and that was a first time mom..so was the 11 egger..

Dud's are due to temp problems (to hot or to cold), health problems with the females, or the male didn't get things done. :D

ah, ok well thats good to know. It could have been the male, he's about 700g and this was his first time breeding.

I know I go against the grain sometimes, but if I had to make a wager, I would bet that all of those eggs will be fine if they are incubated correctly. It appears to me that they were laid about 16 to 24 hours prior to you finding them. They look a little dehydrated, and like there are numerous boob parts of the eggs. If they all have good veins, and your incubator is set as you have stated, I would guess that they will fill out in the next 3 to 5 days, and will hatch just fine. However, I would expect some smaller hatchlings (in the 40 - 55 gram range).

And this, right here, is why you should put them all in the incubator and see what happens.

Don't do it on my accord. I am just looking at a pic, but think from what I see, that they could be fine. After taking a second look though, I would pay attention to the 2 eggs that are one from the right, kind of stuck together. They look a bit waxy, and may need extra attention in the next couple weeks (i.e. they may start to sweat).

thanks for the advice, I'll keep an eye on them. Any advice for if they start to sweat? Should I put a damp towel or would that be to much?

Ralph had one of his pet project snakes this year slug out except one or 2

my 11 egg this year was a first time mom as well,she had a couple weak eggs,one went a week then went bad,but thie other 10 now have dark halos and are getting strong,so tis defintely not always a first time breeding thing

and i my male is also around 700 grams his first season,and hes been breeding everything in sight,and so far not one slug(didnt think to quote his part about his male as well)

well got an update, its day 48. one molded 2 weeks ago. I went in to check the humidity and there was a baby in the tub. looked healthy. I cut the other eggs, one didnt look good at all, there was a slit in the egg, but when I looked further, it drowned in the egg. Same with another one of the babies, but the last egg I had a head poking out later tonight when I got home. so atleast 2 survived. the drowned babies were fully formed, no deformities even though the eggs looked bad.
