BRB babies are definitely nippy, but we have 4 adult breeders at our store and they're all absolute sweethearts. Proper care will mellow them out for sure :)
As for the prices mentioned in the OP, $249 is kind of high for a baby, we sell ours for ~ $170. The other prices sound pretty good though.
