    The button for it to change modes is on the bottom, the instructions are all wrong.

    It works fine for me. It's dead on, I checked it up against some 2 LB weights my wife has. Its cheap enough that if it breaks I can get another one. When my collection grows Ill splurge on a 40 dollar namebrand one, but this is cool for now.

    Glad it works for you, like you said its cheap so whats the big deal.
    Maybe i just had bad luck with them.
