    Also what thermostat do you have? I was told to put the thermostat probe between the heat pad and the glass, however if you have the cheap reptitemp 500r thermostat like I do, the probe is very large and wont fit in between, so it must go on the outside of it.

    I am just setting up my tank now and am waiting on my thermostat to arrive (it is currently being shipped) It will be the 500r Thermostat. (Jenn, this is why I couldn't give you my temperatures because I do not have the thermostat, sorry!) I also planned on putting the probe on the outside, anyway.

    But what you just said made me realize that a gap between the UTH and the Tank must not cause a problem since most people suggest to put the probe there anyways. DUH! Stupid me

    I have decided to keep it the way it is and keep testing it out. Thanks for everyone's help. I really appreciate it. :)
