I already have 5 clutches on the ground and two have hatched. I also have other girls that are still building so who knows.

They go when they want to;)

It's all about the weather. It was a pretty dry summer and fall on the eastcoast anyway. I'm going to continue to pair them up.

I started 6 weeks later than last year and I am in So Cal for whatever that means??? I have 17 clutches on the ground with the first due to hatch on the 22nd. It is ovulation city here  and looks to be so for the next couple weeks.

On a nice note, I have lowered my rack temps to 84 from 90 last season while keeping my ambient unchanged -- 84-88 day and 78-80 night. So far slug 5 percentage down after limited clutches. 72 good eggs 9 slugs. Many 4, 5, and 6 egg PERFECT clutches I would be fine if this percentage holds the rest of the year -- I have decided to give breeding year round a go. California summer temps -- day and night -- will be the main hurdle. We will see. :)

I agree, it does seem slightly off. My girl has yet to ovulate and a breeder I know was saying he has yet to get ANY clutches, and he has quite a few snakes.

Are you guys keeping with the schedule for temp drops ect? or are you extending the season, temperature-wise?
