    Hi,

The tape that doesn't cause major problems is the low tack painters tape.

How many of the holes have you tried covering at once?

Then I will have to get some of that tape ASAP!

I have the three holes on the cool side covered on both sides, so 6 all together that are covered.

I placed the T-stat probe in the inside of the tub and my ambient temps still stay around 72-78.

Humidity currently 44%. Hot side: 92, Cool side: 79 (with lamp on low)

throw out the lamp, with it on low its not doing anything but sucking up the humidity anyways.

Petco aspen grass + dollar store water bowl = humidity problem solved

LOL I know these lamps are not the most popular choice but dang you guys really hate them haha. I understand why but I just cant seem to get my ambient temps above 75 without it. I thought the ambient temps need to be 80-82 or is that just preferred? I just dont want to have to deal with a RI.

I may switch to paper towels, not a bad idea.

I have been to that show before but it's a hike to get out there. I will be going soon to check stuff out.

Try what I mentioned with the thermostat probe, because like I said, when the probeis on the UTH and you program it, the UTH will get to your desired heat, while everything inside will have a significantly lowered value due to heat transfer. :gj:

And have you tried Craigslist for local rodent breeders? They tend to sell feeder for cheaper than most anywhere else. At least around here.

if you have a thermostat and that huge UTH you should be able to regulate your temps within the tub. ambient temps help if you are using a small UTH or flexwatt but not necessary if the tub temps are ok. but if you are trying to up your room temp go to Target and get a small space heater for $20 and that will give you a boost, and a sauna.

I did end up moving the probe inside the tub last night.

I just ditched the lamp and covered the hole. When winter comes around I will be investing in a heater.

I checked craigslist and cant find any breeders :(

    Thanks again everyone!
