    the worst feeder in my collection just dropped today,6 large perfect eggs.she's a 04 that was only 1100 grams going into breeding season,if she were younger i would have waited.

    the 3 yr. old 1500 gram rule is a good general guideline but as has been mentioned many times keeping/breeding BP's is not as black and white as we like to think it is.

    i personally think age is much more important than size alone,plus knowing the animal.hope this helps,have fun!

    Thanks to every one who responded, especially those who actually read my question carefully! I probably needed to have found a way to word it better, considering I got more answers to how much they should weigh when actually starting to breed them, than what I was trying to ask which is how much should they weigh NOW if I plan to start breeding them in 6 months.

    EDIT: To clarify, all of the girls I'm referring to are '07s, and if any aren't up to weight, I'll just wait a year with that one. I am not planning on breeding any any underage and/or undersized girls my first time out, that's for sure!
