Enough Already!

Brandon as long as you're housing in a way that's appropriate to the size and species of snakes, tell them to kiss your butt. :) We have three boas here - one is in a large plastic tub, one is in a larger glass tank, one is in a custom enclosure. Guess what - they all eat, they all are thriving so it seems as long as their needs are met, they pretty much could care less what material their home is made of.

i Keep ALL my boas, save for one, in tubs! its SIMPLE, its CLEAN, and its SECURE.

Mind telling us what site you were posting on that they were giving you crap for? :D

Poor things are as terribly abused as my ball pythons are! I'm actually surprised to hear you catching grief about how you keep them - most keepers I've met keep them in tubs!

Now that I'm up to 11 I can't even imagine where I would've put all of the tanks at, for that many snakes. :rolleye2:

Thanks all. Just needed to rant a little. I feel better. :)

I currently have 5 snakes. I am adding 4 more in the next couple of weeks. Now, I have all mine in seperate tanks, but, I am looking at investing in a setup identical to what you have. I only have one Red Tail but I do plan on adding a Brazillian Rainbow to my collection in the coming months.
As Lace said, don't worry about what other people say. If you are cramped for space to begin with, then a tub system only makes sense. We converted a bedroom and even had to take a wall out and convert a 1/2 bath to make more room for our pets. You do what you have to in order to make things work, and that's exactly what you're doing. I don't see where your snakes are being hurt or neglected by housing them the way you are, so by all means, carry on! Personally, I think your setup looks great!!! ;)
