    congrats.....just wanted to put in my suggestion on the saving money end of it. What I did for all 3 of my snakes for a hide I used a pvc pipe end cap(?not sure of the right description) found in the plumping aisle at Lowes and drilled a hole big enough for the snakes to go in and out. As for a water dish I got a ceramic plate looking thing that was also at Lowes out in the Garden center with the Ceramic plant pots. Both were cheap alternatives to what a pet store wanted for decrative items.

    I am not worried with spending a few extra dollars to make my tank look nice. It will be on display and even if I won't see much of a snake I will at least get to enjoy the scenery. :D
