    well thanks for the help guys. I guess I'll put the hide the hide on the warm side. Unless I have feeding issues I'll stick with one hide. In the mean time i'm going to get my rack done.

    ditto. no hides, no issues. i only use hides in glass tanks. tubs are a hide in themselves if sliding into a rack....

    For a tub like that, one hide is fine.

    Others may not agree, but I do not feel that rack systems need hides. I don't use any hides in my racks, and my snakes are doing fine. Tubs in a rack system are tight and dark, and are like hides anyway.

    I think it depends on the rack, but yes, with most racks hides are not neccessary, as long as the snake feels secure (is feeding well).
