Re: How bad do females look after laying???
They do tend to re-bound really well - but it is rather shocking to see how emaciated your female who was a fat hinied beauty the day before looks after laying eggs.
It's one reason I don't believe that I'll ever maternally incubate. I'd rather get them back on food and back up to tip-top shape!
Congrats Heather! Where's the obligatory clutch picture? :P

I think you kind of missed it ;) http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=90338
Congrats on the clutch Heather and yes they do look like a flat tire but this one is a real hot flat tire ;)
Re: How bad do females look after laying???
My girl was flat as pancake after she laid. She went from 1850 grams to 1300. But less than a month later she's already at 1500+ & working hard at getting bigger...lol. I am so happy everytime she eats a rat (she actually had two smalls this week since she looked so hungry). I don't think I could stomach maternal incubation if they won't eat for 2 months.

Heather that is one pretty flat tire of a snake.
Best of luck on the snows, I am pulling for ya:gj:
