    I would keep your probe below the substrate on top of the UTH, they can still get under the paper towel and if they do and it is too hot, they could get burned.

    As for the blur and the shed in the nostril, it should come off with the next shed. Just keep an eye on it and make sure your humidity is at 70% so he has a complete shed :)
