Was the male the father of the babies? I've heard that they will kill litters that are not theirs.

Yes he was the father. I bought the entire colony at the Columbia, SC show last month. I got the male from one vendor and the females from another. They were all young (and virgins) and got along well together.... I guess it was just first time jitters. Now the other two females appear to be bred as well. Maybe they will do better.
