I wish I could have it on the higher dresser but the cord for the light won't reach and dangling things are dangerous to cats. They want to paw at it and I am afraid they may knock the light off.

Is my snake just trying to get used to her new environment? Does yours move around in the cage a lot or do they like to stay in the hide or under the substrate?

My cat does the same thing to my crested when he sees him run on the screen. I scream at him every time.
He's lost interest in my snakes though, generally. My corns always pick a preferred side of cage, but often won't use hides if I put them in there. Some do, and babies tend to more, but it really all depends.

My guy lays the length of the tank most of the time. If he's not doing that then he hides some of his body under the bedding. He rarely uses the hides.

And I'm in the same boat, darn thing just doesn't want to eat. Both him and the male ball python. At least the male bp got to hook up with a gal. I don't have any female corns. Poor guy. :D

But the cat never goes into the reptile room, but our two Min Pins do and none of the reptiles even care they are in there.

We fed Ira last night and he's been sitting in front of his heater since. His UTH heater we put on the side instead underneath. He hasn't really moved since he found the heat. Before we fed him, he hid underneath the aspen. Unnerved me when we went to check on him and he was "gone" :weirdface
