What locking mechanisms

Been a long time since I used tanks for a snake but if I remember correctly some of the clips you have to bend the short side of the clip down to get it to fit and hold the lid tight. How's that for a run on sentence?

Right now I have two five pound barbell plates. I am off to the pet store to get some feeders for my corn snake so I will look for something better that will lock.

The problem I am having is that the lip on the screen is too wide for the clips that I have to hook over. they hook perfectly over the rim of the tank but as soon as you add the screen and try to stretch them over the fit becomes not so good.
